Social purpose law firm, Anthony Collins, epitomises the phrase ‘positive impact’. In the arena of improving lives, communities and society through law, the firm has few contenders. Naturally, this was a client we leapt at the chance to work with.  

From day one, the PR stakes were high. Anthony Collins is well-established and boasts an abundance of Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked lawyers with expertise across sectors such as local government, housing and health and social care. We were brought on to showcase this experience on regional and national platforms, secure top media opportunities and delve into the biggest sector challenges that impact the firm’s varied client base.  

It’s safe to say we’ve accomplished many feats in a few months! 

Moving media mountains

Great media coverage is about timing, topicality and tremendous content. The results we’ve achieved with Anthony Collins speak to all three of these targets, spanning thought leadership articles, press release activity, reactive comments and interviews.  

Our reactive commentary, or ‘newsjacking’ work with the firm in 2024 is a case in point; across the Deputy Prime Minister’s planning policy speech in July 2024, the Employment Rights Bill announcement and October’s Autumn Budget, we developed and secured a broad range of coverage across national, regional and trade titles. This included Sky News, The Guardian, FT Advisor, The Independent, The I Paper, Daily Mirror and a range of top sector publications such as Inside Housing, Property Week and Building Magazine to put the firm front and centre of sector conversations and champion its socially-driven values.  

Our Budget work was the second significant campaign we executed for the firm in the first year, following a month-long project reacting to the 2024 General Election. Both included a multi-pronged approach: developing media, web and social content with key experts to raise their profiles and prove the firm has its finger fervently on the pulse of key industry issues. 

Our core media strategy has been equally instrumental in spreading the word on Anthony Collins’ experience, expertise and events. Promoting the launch of the firm’s new office in Wolverhampton, for instance, or working on numerous thought leadership articles to showcase specialist sector knowledge.  

In our first 10.5 months working with the firm, we achieved an audience reach of nearly two billion across our total media activity.  

Putting the ‘pro’ in projects

Our relationship with Anthony Collins has developed quickly in a short space of time – and with it, some unique project-based opportunities for our team to sink their teeth into.  

For the firm’s annual social impact report, we directed, filmed and edited a series of videos exploring the report’s key themes: the firm’s social purpose vision, its BCorp status and its leading equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) strategy. These featured interviews with the firm’s managing partner, senior partner and ED&I lead and were utilised across multiple platforms including the firm’s website, YouTube channel and other social media profiles.  

Since then, we’ve supported the team on a wide variety of projects. From award entries and web content and case studies for the firm’s ‘Bcorp report’, we’ve helped the team at Anthony Collins across their marketing and comms spectrum. If the firm’s ambitious growth strategy is anything to go by – watch this space!
