SOCIAL IMPACT ON FILM

Visual storytelling has never been more valuable. When you want to shout about big wins, pinnacle projects, or social purpose successes in the case of law firm Anthony Collins, video production is often your best friend.  

To spotlight the findings of its latest social impact report over the 2023/24 financial year, Anthony Collins did just this; enlisting our specialist team to plan, film and deliver a video series exploring its accomplishments. Our design team got to work mapping out the structure and style of the content to help bring the firm’s social purpose work to life.  

Lights, camera, action! 

Our purpose was clear: to establish three short videos covering the key areas of focus in the firm’s social impact report – an annual document which details the goals and outcomes achieved by Anthony Collins each financial year. This is divided across its social purpose vision, its B Corp status and its equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) values.  

Rich in statistics and expert insight, this project was a dream to work on from start to finish. We don’t do anything by halves, and knew investing time in preparing the locations, timeframes and content layout of the video series would be vital to hit all the right notes. 

The videos were built around a personal, ‘talking head’-style interview with three key individuals: the firm’s managing partner, senior partner and ED&I lead. For instance, we directed and filmed the managing partner discussing the firm’s social purpose vision for the corresponding video.  

Precision meant perfection so our team ensured the three key speakers were fully prepped and comfortable with the filming schedule and talking points. Significant statistics were woven into the experts’ skeleton scripts to ensure important results were communicated; in the ED&I storyboard, we referenced the near 50:50 gender split among the firm’s partners and the ED&I training delivered to over 500 client managers.  

We also worked closely with Anthony Collins’ marketing team to include other members of staff in B-roll footage we captured throughout the firm’s Birmingham office. All content was coordinated and filmed on location. 

Content captured, our team meticulously edited and finetuned the series to execute the finished article. Et voila! In a matter of days, Anthony Collins had an engaging, visual record of its social impact work to publish on its website, YouTube channel and other social media profiles.
