DRAGON BOAT RACE

A regional media relations campaign aimed to make BSN stand out from the construction crowd together with their long-term M&E partner, JRA, by securing editorial coverage in highly trusted local newspapers, broadcast and business magazines.

The campaign put BSN’s annual charity Dragonboat race in support of Birmingham Women and Children’s Hospital front and centre of a media push to spread awareness of the work done by the hospital and to raise vital funds. BSN and JRA have worked on numerous projects for the hospital including building a new bereavement centre and extending and refurbishing the Parkview Clinic.

PR highlights included a visit from special guest and West Midlands Mayor, Andy Street, to further raise awareness of the day and put the hospital firmly on the regional agenda. A broadcast interview was secured with BBC West Midlands and press coverage achieved a targeted readership of 1 million.
